The College of Santa Fe: King Hall: D Wing: 1st Floor Hallway

Here, we're dealing with a double-edged sword. This room is close to the "Exit", but this is also going to be a choke-point if a mass evacuation is undertaken. Also, once you get past that exit door--

--BAM! Potential zombie congregation area. Plus, you're now dealing with the other two floors of this dorm building (teeming with potential infected) using the same exit at the same time. "So, you're telling us to not exit through the exit door?" Well, let's break it down. Looking down the other end of the hallway, you get this:

Huzzah for long, badly-lit corridors! If that wasn't enough, you have to pass by all of the other room doors where any amount of wandering zombies may be snacking, as well as any student that was infected early who was "waiting out this nasty summer flu in their room" -- only to be completely turned and ready to go right next door. On top of that, the end of this hallway leads right to another exit much like the first. The obvious answer is to not go either way. This is the first floor after all, layer yourself with enough clothing to handle broken glass and the stray zombie bite and head out of your room's window, it's by far the best and safest option.

  1. This is my sound a little opaque, but in defense of King, I must say that exiting through the window of your room sounds like the safest route.
